What an amazing day - many times as I was watching coverage of the inauguration I found myself getting a bit teary-eyed. It is such an important moment and turning point in our country's history....I am so proud and excited!
I think that the best part about all of this is the hope and optimism that everyone is feeling. It's so hard to make or participate in change when you feel like a situation is hopeless and out of your control. But right now, for the first time in a very long time, so many people and hopeful and excited to support this President in the daunting task ahead. I know the kind of change we all hope for won't happen overnight, but we're definitely on our way!
Though Graham has no idea what happened today, I made sure to tell him how important it was. I saw some really cute t-shirts that are proclaiming this is Generation O - might have to get him one of those :)
