The kids spent the weekend with Wil at Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop's house at Eagle Crest. It was a great opportunity to get everything finished up and ready for Christmas, but I procrastinated a little and didn't start wrapping until Tuesday morning. I'm happy to report that I managed to get it all done before they got home. When they arrived, Ellie spent some time examining the new Christmas deco in the yard.
Of course the kids were quite excited to see packages under the tree and started investigating to see which presents belonged to who.
Before dinner we spent some time chatting with my parents and grandparents on the computer.
I let the kids open one present from me, and then a couple presents from Nana and Papa. Ellie got a cabbage patch kid and Graham got a double-bladed light saber from me....
And here you can see the kids enjoying a couple of their presents from Nana and Papa....
Graham also got some new PJs made by Nana - it was time to retire the set she made him a long time ago. We're all a little jealous 'cause they are super cozy!
After chatting with the family we went out to look at Christmas lights. This is one of my favorite displays year after year....
Of course I'm also partial to the display right outside my front door :)
We had some eats when we got home from looking at lights and then set out the reindeer food and picked out some treats to leave for Santa. We read the last of our advent books and then the kids got tucked into bed ('cause we all know Santa doesn't come until the kids are asleep!)
Graham had a hard time getting to sleep and then a hard time staying asleep - I think he was finally out around midnight.....and once we were all asleep, Santa did indeed arrive!
