Saturday it was mostly just me at the hotel, waiting for Kenny to be done with work so we could drive home. Kenny brought me breakfast from the front desk before he left - I had a little fun with it...
I brought my computer with me and spent a lot of the day catching up on memory keeping. First up was updating week in the life blog posts....
Keeping this blog going continues to be a huge priority for me and something I'm so happy that I do. I've been working on getting the blog printed into books and sometimes find the kids pulling a volume off the shelf to look at. A lot of time goes into keeping it up to date, but every minute I put into it is worth it for me.
Working on the blog means I'm also editing pictures. In this past year I've starting using an editing program that I absolutely love - Rad Lab. They also have an app for your phone called Pic-Tap-Go and I often use that as well to edit pics I take there. I highly recommend both - there's a 14-day trial for Rad Lab so you can try it out first.
After catching up on the blog I moved on to some scrapbooking - in fact I started scrapping some Week in the Life pages to add to my binder. I've been working on and printing out these pages for several years now and plan to keep them all in one album to get that look at our lives over time.
I took a break to grab a late lunch from Subway - Spicy Italian on white (light lettuce, lots 'o pickles) and a bag of Baked Cheddar Lays.
Later in the afternoon I took a shower, packed up and cleaned up a bit. I took advantage of the light from this window...
....and tried to get a picture of myself to update my profile pics on a couple websites (I was getting a little bit bored by this time - a girl can only watch so much HGTV it turns out!)
And finally around 8pm, Kenny got back to the hotel room and we were able to load up the car, stop quick for gas and coffee, then head for home.
It was late when we got home - I think around midnight. Most everything got dropped inside the front door and I went to bed. Kenny did some unwinding in the recliner before coming to bed, and I'm fairly certain he was very happy to go to sleep in his own bed. Very happy to have him home - looking forward to having him here for the next few days.
