G had a dentist appointment today. No big deal, just a regular check-up and teeth cleaning.
I was happily surprised to see how happy he was playing with the little etch-a-sketch in the lobby. It didn't have an on/off switch or batteries of any kind :)
Graham did great - followed every direction he was given....
And then our regular, no-big-deal appointment took a little bit of a turn. As the hygienist was cleaning his teeth she let me know that one of his front teeth is loose. A lot loose. And actually not just the one. BOTH of his top two front teeth are loose. Say what?!
I've heard about this kind of thing happening, but just to big kids....kids much bigger than mine!
But no. Dr. Helen assured me that this is within the range of normal, albeit a tiny bit on the early end. And usually the lower two front teeth fall out first, but everyone is different. We can't see if the big teeth are right there waiting to come in because they haven't been able to get x-rays yet....maybe next time.
No cavities and best behavior = trip to Target for a new toothbrush. He found a lightsaber one that he fell in love with - so much that he wanted all three colors. We settled on the green one and some "grown-up" toothpaste. I think visits from the tooth fairy are in the very near future....stay tuned!
