Graham's school had their harvest lunch on Tuesday and I kept my schedule clear so that I could be sure to be there for it :) His 4-year-old class dressed up as pilgrims and got into the Mayflower to go meet the 3-year-old class that had dressed up as Indians.
It was soooo cute! It was a little slow going to get to the Indians, but they made it :)
Once everyone got together the kids went in and found their place at the tables - everything was already set up and plates were ready and on the table for the kids.
The kids made the table decorations - a laminated placement with their handprints on it and a turkey with feathers saying what they are thankful for...
Graham's feathers said he was thankful for his mom, his dad, his bike, and making snowballs in the winter. The snowball one seemed kind of random to me, but I'm guessing he'll have a chance to do just that when we head to Wisconsin at Christmas time :)
It was fun being able to see Graham do this with his class - when he finished his plate he got up and told me he needed to talk to his teacher. The next thing I know she's walking with him over to the buffet to grab another plate of food! I found it funny that he didn't ask me for help with that, but it was nice to see him having no problem getting his needs met without me.
I took a little video of the pilgrims and their voyage - you can see it HERE.
