The kids were VERY excited to go trick-or-treating. They were at the coast all weekend visiting Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop and when I skyped with them on Sunday night Graham was quite literally bouncing off the walls when I mentioned Halloween!
After dinner Grandma Chery came over and the kids trick-or-treated in her pockets :)
Getting them to stand still for pictures was a bit of a challenge, but I got this one with Grandma Chery....
This one by the fireplace....
And this one out front next to the glowing pumpkins that we carved (thanks for remembering to light 'em up Kenny!)
And so we headed out and wandered the neighborhood. It wasn't very crowded out there, but we did run into some fellow superheros, a sheep, and Elmo! Graham wasn't shy at all about ringing doorbells and saying "trick-or-treat" and "thank you". Ellie needed a little prompting, but she was often right behind him...
Ellie insisted on carrying her own bag all night, finally dragging it on the ground when it got too heavy. The weather was chilly, but mostly rain-free....it started to drizzle just as we were heading for home. Once in the house, Ellie immediately bit into a starburst from her bag, wrapper and all! Kenny and I checked through the candy with them and they got one piece before bed. The kids even got to answer the door a couple of times to hand out candy to more trick-or-treaters before bed.
Graham is still talking about Halloween and wore his Iron Man costume to bed last night :) It was so much fun to see them having such a good time!
