My girl is TWO!! It's funny how it can seem like time flies by so quickly, and at the same time I have trouble remembering what life was like before she was with us....
I went with a monkey theme for Ellie's birthday for a couple of reasons....she makes the funniest noises "oo oo ee ee!" when you ask her what a monkey says, and the girl is practically a monkey herself with the way she climbs everything! (see the example below where she is climbing the play structure with her birthday cupcake!!)
Speaking of the cupcakes, I found these at another website and figured I could probably do it myself....and I did!!
We were pretty excited to have Leila and her kids join us for the celebration, and once again, Pa-Paw was a big hit at the party....running and chasing around with the kids :)
We were also pretty excited that Nana and Papa were able to attend (via Skype) from Wisconsin :)
I think everyone had a nice time, especially the birthday girl :) I haven't seen too much of the "terrible twos" yet and hope they stay far, far away from here!!
As a side note, I have to thank a few people for the pictures I have to share. I had a camera crisis so Kara kindly offered to let me use their camera, and Jim and Chery also took bunches of pictures for me! Thanks so much to you all for helping record these memories :)
