Fun things....

I have two fun websites that I recently discovered while reading blogs.

The first I found through Candy's blog - Scrap In Style - what a fun little community that is!  Go poke around a bit and if you sign up, make sure to look me up and add me to your favorite SISters list :)

The other I found on Miss Kim's blog - Kaboodle - what a fabulous idea!  It's like making an amazon.com wishlist, but not being limited to what's on amazon.com.  I started a digi-scrapping wish list so that I can remember all of the fun things that I want to pick up when I have extra cash.  They have the coolest buttons so you can just browse around from site to site and press one button to add it to one of your lists.  Go check it out - such a good idea!  There is a lot more to this site, but I'm still exploring and figuring it all out :)

I also have a picture to share that I took of me and Graham the other day in the bathroom mirror - I love it!!

Have I mentioned....

...how much I love the Celebrating Color collection by Weeds & Wildflowers found at ScrapArtist?? Oh right...I HAVE :)  Well let me tell you again - it's awesome!! The page I put in the galleries today has a lot of the Color goodies in it...

I've also used bits and pieces of these kits on other layouts - there are so many great embellishments to choose from and the alphas - wow!.  I can't stress enough what a great investment this is :)  Ok - you get the picture!

I'm having a blast scrapping Graham pictures, but there are so many more pictures than I will probably ever get to.  I've been printing 4x6 photos each month and putting them into an album so that I can look back on my favorites.  I've found it's incredibly satisfying to have pictures and scrapbook pages printed out, so I'm trying to remember to do that more often.

I'm also trying to use this time away from work to get the house purged of all unnecessary things and organized.  I finished up with the file cabinet yesterday and it is looking so neat and tidy!  The office is starting to come together - now to get Wil to work on his side!  It felt good to take a pile of papers from the file cabinet out to the recycling bin....

Off to take care of some more things before Graham wakes from his nap.....

Lucky me....

I just LOVE the outfit that G wore to fly on the plane so I got to thinking that I would ask if any of the designers at Designer Digitals would be interested in designing a kit to help me scrap this milestone in G's life.  This is the inspiration I gave the team....

Leora Sanford rose to the challenge and quickly came out with this:

Holy WOW!! I absolutely love it and am so grateful to her for putting it together.  I scrapped with it as soon as G would let me and I came up with this:

Back home...

The flight went well and we are back home in Oregon.  I only got a few hours of sleep last night, but Graham slept a lot on the plane and all the way back from Portland...then went right to sleep in his crib when we got home.  I'm going to be needing a nap later....what a good time for Wil to spend some quality time with his son on Father's Day :)

Speaking of Father's Day, I did a couple of small projects for Granddad and Papa....

I had so much fun watching my dad with Graham and got some great photos of the two of them together.  I put this page together for him to put in an album they are keeping.

And for Wil's dad (aka Granddad) we picked up a tumbler at Starbucks for his coffee and I made this insert for it - love those things! It's the gift that keeps on giving - we can make new inserts any time to update as G grows.

And boy is that kid growing!  He's two months old today and I think I'm going to have to start putting away some of the newborn onesies and sleepers.  He is so long that they are stretched to their limit!  With it getting a bit warmer too it's nice to have his clothes a little looser so the kid can get some air!

We are thrilled to be home - I have so many pages I want to do with the pictures I took while we were back in Wisconsin....now I just need to find the time :)  I have a feeling I would have some willing babysitters to watch G for an afternoon so I can play.

Some new favs

Been awhile since I checked in here, but I have been updating our family website with info of our travels. If you're interested you can read more about that at Hunt Family Connections.

I've been taking lots of pictures, but haven't had lots of time to scrap.  When I do though, these are some of the things I'll be using....

I'm downloading this first one right now from ScrapArtist - and what an awesome idea it is!

I have to tell you, with my scrapping time being significantly cut back by this little man we have in our house now, templates have become my new favorite scrapping supply.  The designers at Designer Digitals have sooo many awesome templates to choose from - they make it easy to put together great pages quickly.  Let me show you some of my favorites right now....

Katie has made several layered template books - one for moms, one for dads, one for babies, and now one for couples!  It's not in the DD store quite yet, but it will be soon - here's a sneak peek...

I love that it's so easy to just throw together a whole book :)  You can also just pick and choose a page out of these and make something with any theme that you want - it's not limited to just the book theme that it comes with.  Katie also has some single page layout templates....here is one that I did using her "You" template page.

Designer Digitals is overflowing with designers that make these templates and I'm so lucky to have access to them :)  Here are a couple more of my favorites...

Ok - I'm going to get back to scrapping while Graham sleeps a little longer - we're here on vacation for a few more days, heading back home on Saturday night....hopefully the plane ride home goes just as well as the ride there :) 

leavin' on a jet plane....

Graham and I begin our adventure early tomorrow morning...Wil is driving us to the airport in Portland where we'll hop on a plane to Minneapolis.  My dad and brother are meeting us there and driving us "home" to Wisconsin.  I'm so excited for Graham to meet more of my family - so many great photo opportunities I'm sure!
