It's been quite a ride, filled with ups and downs. We work hard, but it's definitely worth it. Today we'll be doing what we have traditionally done on our anniversary - go out out for dinner, have a drink, talk about what worked and what didn't work this past year, and make plans and goals for the coming year. It's such a great time to just check and see where we're at.....
So one of the best things about digital scrapbooking is the opportunity to "meet" and get to know people that I wouldn't have met in my tiny little corner of the world. Julie commented on my blog awhile ago and since then I've been keeping up on her blog and finding that we have some things in common....it's been great getting to know her and today is her birthday, so I thought I'd give her a little shout out here since she's such a loyal blog watcher and now a good friend too :)
Oh - and as a scrapbooking-related side note, the kit I used to make Julie's card is called French Countryside. It's a collaborative effort by the Shabby Princess and a new designer named Christina Renee (ummm....she's good!) Of course I already know and love the Shabby Princess's work :) What a great team - they came up with a stunning kit!
No idea - I guess just busy trying to keep up with the little guy and getting stuff done around the house. I've been busy taking a couple of online classes while G naps and just keeping the house picked up takes up the rest of the time. I've been itching to scrap more - guess I'll have to set up some babysitting time so I can just veg in front of the computer for awhile :)
Today we have babysitters set up so that Wil and I can go to lunch and then to the new Harry Potter movie. We're also looking forward to getting the new Harry Potter book this weekend - do you have your copy reserved??
I had a stock pile of pages I had scrapped awhile back so I have been posting even though I haven't had time to scrap. I posted a new favorite the other day and have another favorite that I'll probably post tomorrow - I like them both so much that I'm thinking about framing them...

G is asleep in my lap right now (love it when he falls asleep with me) so I'm going to go unload some new DD goodies that I downloaded last night. I also have a fun little page in progress that I'm hoping to finish - it involves pink camo :)

Oh right - Big Brother.....I LOVE IT!
I mentioned that I hoped I would like the woman that's from here in Oregon - Kail. After watching a few episodes I can tell you that I don't love her yet, but I don't hate her either. In fact I don't really love any of them yet...though I am enjoying the America's Player feature. Eric is quite a character and I think he'll manage to stay in the game for awhile because other people in the house seem to like him. The deal is that we all get to vote on things he does in the house. For example, tonight we're voting to see who he will vote to eliminate on Thursday (for those that are interested, I chose Amber). It's fun to be more involved without having to be in the house :)

Had a nice 4th of July yesterday - spent the afternoon at a friend's house BBQing. You should have seen all of the fireworks shows in our neighborhood last night. We don't live far from a very NICE neighborhood and it appears they dropped lots of cash on fireworks. I'm getting LOTS done in my kitchen today - cleaning everything right down to the salt and pepper shakers! Do you ever get in the mood to just clean every little thing in sight?! I never thought I got that nesting instinct before Graham was born, but it sure seems that I have it now as I prepare to go back to work in the fall. I'm determined to get this house cleaned, organized, and running smoothly before life gets more chaotic and out of control :)
I have two fun websites that I recently discovered while reading blogs.
The first I found through Candy's blog - Scrap In Style - what a fun little community that is! Go poke around a bit and if you sign up, make sure to look me up and add me to your favorite SISters list :)
The other I found on Miss Kim's blog - Kaboodle - what a fabulous idea! It's like making an amazon.com wishlist, but not being limited to what's on amazon.com. I started a digi-scrapping wish list so that I can remember all of the fun things that I want to pick up when I have extra cash. They have the coolest buttons so you can just browse around from site to site and press one button to add it to one of your lists. Go check it out - such a good idea! There is a lot more to this site, but I'm still exploring and figuring it all out :)
